A sneak peek into my new comic debuting at TCAF

May 2026 updates

There's mostly photos here so I can get back to drawing

Hi again! To all the new faces who signed up during AnaCon last weekend, thanks again for stopping by and having a chat. :) I hope you'll stick around.

New locations selling my zines

Biggest Little Zine Fair is a free-to-attend outdoor zine fair taking place on May 31 at Recreation Coffee in Long Beach, CA. They'll be selling hundreds of zines by makers worldwide (including a handful of my own) so if you're nearby you should check it out. I won't be there as I'll be in a frenzy packing for TCAF though.

Paper Pushers is a pop-up shop currently open in downtown Seattle and will stick around for 6 months. They have a huge variety of zines, prints, art books, and small press publications on sale, including some of my work.

Cold Hands, Cold Heart updates

Cold Hands, Cold Heart Issue #2 will be released on June 6 (i.e. Day 1 of Toronto Comic Arts Festival). It will also be available to purchase via my online store shortly after the festival.

I am currently in a mad rush trying to get this done in time for TCAF because I was out of commission briefly recovering from minor surgery in April. Here's a sneak peek of my favourite panels with no context on Day 34 of my frenzied cartooning. :)

Free stickers!

I made some new stickers! I'll throw them in with all future orders made in my online store. Also, if you pop by any event I'm tabling at and let me know you're already subscribed to my newsletter, I'll happily give one to you, no obligation to make a purchase. :)

Where I was a year ago

I thought it might be fun to include this repeating section in my newsletters so I have a reminder to pause and reflect on how far I've come.

In May 2025, I was busy finishing my final assignment for the Year-Long Comics Certificate Program at Sequential Artists Workshop. You may know that assignment as my one-shot comic, Nightmares and Concrete.

I wore down a full (!) Apple Pencil tip finishing this assignment because the vintage newsprint comic look is achieved by layering each page in yellow, pink, blue and black in a variety of halftones and opacities.
